Good Morning Central!
I'm Wyatt Danz, and I'm Dorthy Her.
Today is Wednesday, December 5th,
And Welcome to the Central Morning News.

Yesterday after school Mesibah, the Jewish cluture club, held its secong annualk dreidel tournament. Tournement champs were : 1st place Michall Crellin & 2nd place Susie Scanlan.

Tonight Central's Orchestras , under the baton of Mr. Matt Oyen, present their annual Winter Concert beginning at 7 P.m. in the auditorium. Highlight for tonight include Carl Strommen's " Prairiesong" and the Concerto for violins by Vivaldi. The concert will conclude with 4 movements from the "Peer Gynt Suite" by Edvard Grieg. Tonight's concert will begin with selections by the Central Jazz band. Tomorrow evening the Central bands present their Winter Concert

Sophomore yearbook pole pictures will be taken today during A lunch in room 420. Check the list in the lobby to see if you are a Sophomore pole winner.

Today is an early release day. Classes are shortened and school will end at 12:00 noon for teacher preofessional development meetings and workshops.

Due to Early Release today, there will be no tutoring after school. We will begin again next Monday and Wednesday. Come to the library to sign up for a tutor. Next marking period grades are due now.

Speech team meets today after school in room 323, all are welcome to attend.

Come and audition for the one-act play we will take to our first state competition. Auditions are Tuesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 13 in room 509. Sign up outside the office for either day.

In basketball action last night, the state reigning girls champions the Central Minutemen defeated Cretin-Derham Hall 73-49. Top scorers for Central were Taylor with 19, Buford with 21, Jones with 11 and Howard put in 12.

CMEP is sponosring a Madden 08 tournament Friday in the Black Box. To be in the tournamnet students must register with Coach Howell by Thursday.

(PIC) After years of uncooperative weather, the Nordic ski team started their season on time yesterday. Some of the Central team members are featured on the front page of the Pioneer Press. Check it out.We are still tracking down the results of the yesterdays meet.

Baseball calenders can be picked up tomorrow after school in the cafeteria.
