Tonight the Central beginning acting class presents "Creative Expressions" and intermediate acting class presents "Rituals to Life" in the Black box beginning at 7:00 P.M. . Tomorrow night, Friday, beginning acting class presents "Justice, Peace and Love: What is Peace to You?" and Central Touring Theater presents a sneak preview from their 2008 touring show. The cost is 2 dollars and the shows run from 7-9 PM in the black box.

Swing Club meets tomorrow in room 262.

The Central Asian Culture Club holds its annual banquet Friday at 5:00 PM. Admission is $3.00 here at Central.

Friday night from 7-9 Link Crew Leaders plays broomball at Mr. Schlukebier's. Come prepared with a broom and snacks.

9th grade students who are interesed in being a Shadow Guide for Central's pre-IB program, please fill out an application available in the Gifted Programs office, room 557, with Ms. Warner Tonyan.

Yesterday at the section four debate tournament In Plymouth, sophomore Hannah Johnson won first place in Lincoln-Douglas debate and will advance to the MN state debate tournament. Sophomore Molly Coleman will be the second alternate to the state tournament. In Policy debate, the senior team of Ilias Karim and Ben Quam placed third, qualifying them for the state tournament for the third year in a row. The MN state debate tournament will be next Friday and Saturday in Rosemount, MN. Good luck to Hannah, Molly, Ilias, and Ben!

Students of color who would like to participate in a Martin Luther King program held at Concordia College on Monday January 21 should see Mrs.Krejce in the Career Resource Room. These students will present the Flag, sing the National Anthem, and say the Pledge of Alligence. A Native American student is needed to say an opening prayer to start off the program. Students will get paid for their services.

The full Student Council meets in the auditorium after school today. The Student Council Winter Jam Benefit Concert committee meets following student council meeting.

The senior class of 2008 goes snow tubing at Eko Baken on February 7th from 10:00 to 1:50. The cost is 12 dollars. Permission slips will be available soon.

2008 American Mathematics Competitions registration is open for all Central students until next Wednesday. Register with your math teacher, Mr. Schwach, or Mr. Paulson. The competition will be held on Tuesday, February 12.

9th graders looking to do well on finals should take advantage of the "Cocoa & Cram" extreme studying session next Tuesday, Jan 15th from 2:14-5:00. The studying starts in the library, Link Crew students and teachers will be available to help 9th graders study for finals.

Boot Hockey Tournament sign-up ends Tomorrow. teams can sign up at room 321, the Student Council M-Team room.

Last night the Central Gymnastics team lost to Highland Park Scotts 132 to 112 at Highland Park.

The Como-Central Hockey team defeated Minneapolis East last night 3-4. Sophomore goalie Matt Starns had 32 saves.
