Central student Amelia Rudberg is conducting a recycling drive through January for used ink cartridges, digital cameras, portable DVD players, MP3 players, video game consoles, GPS devices, and DVDs in any condition. The proceeds will be donated to the Solar Electric Light Fund, an organization that provides developing countries with solar power. Bring devices to the collection box in the office.

[VID ]Yesterday was the holiday Eid Al Adha. Eid is the Mulims New Year. According to the Muslims calender its year 1429. This holiday was celebrated by Muslims all over the world. In Minnesota Familes go pray together early in the morning. After prayer families gather together to enjoy and eat traditonal sweets. Children usually get money as gifts. Later in the day families stay in or go out to eat together and many head to The Mall for more fun.

Today is the last day for students to turn in yearbook family pictures, back in the day pictures, and is also the last day for seniors to turn in their baby pictures to be in the 2007-2008 yearbook.

Registration for winter Driver's Ed. classes starts today, forms are outside of rm 241. Next Driver's Ed. class is schedule to begin January 29th, 2008.

Tonight at 7 Central's music department conducts a recital for IB instrumental students, vocalists, and small ensembles in room 393. Performers include Ellen Rice, Thomas Kendrick, Jeff Howe, Maggie Scimeca, and other vocalist and ensembles.

Tomorrow is the last day for school for students this year! With new years fast approaching its never too late to start thinking about New Years Resolutions. Here Curtis Bakken with more on the story.

The Central Gymnastics Team defeated Johnson last night.Central won at 144.775 with Johnson coming in at 113.525.Emma Burgeson led with 31.95 points,to take the first all round title.
