(PICS) Tonight is the annual Winter Concert featuring Central's jazz band and orchestra. The show starts at 7 in the auditorium. Tonight the jazz band will feature "Soul Sister" and the orchestra will play Beethoven's "Symphony #1 in C Major." The orchestra will close the show with a movement of Dvorak's "New World Symphony."

Cast of Grease must turn in your scripts and music to Ms.Hutchinson in room 518 by Friday.

(VID) Tomorrow night the Jazz, Varsity, and Concert Bands will be performing in the Annual Winter concert at 7:00. The concert will feature the hit songs; Winter Wonderland, Music from "The Lion king", and 9 movements of Carmina Burana.

Senior cap and gown votes have been counted. Men will be wearing black and women will be wearing red. The results were clear with votes being 201 to 126.

Student council has a pizza party next Thursday after school in Ms. LeClair's room.

Students who would like to participate in the One Act Play competition should sign up outside the office or in the black box. Auditions will be held Monday the 15th and Wednesday the 17th after school in Ms. Hutchinsons room, 518. Any questions talk to Ms. Hutchinson, Ms. Jordahl or Mr. Hirman.

NHS meets Thursday after school for a full membership meeting.

National Honor Society students and others will be lobbying today after school at the capitol about environmental issues.

The South Saint Paul Packers defeated the Cougars boys hockey team yesterday at Coliseum arena. The boys played hard but suffered a narrow 3-2 loss.

The Central boys basketball team defeated Holy Angels yesterday 70-64 in their first non-conference basketball game. The boys look to get a 2nd win this weekend against Becker High school on Saturday in their first appearance on the new Central basketball court. Good luck boys.

There will be no girl's basketball practice for Freshmen and JV players today.

Tonight the Central Gymnastics team will take on the Johnson Governors at 6:30 at Johnson in their first conference meet of the season. The team looks to start off the season right and possibly win the conference championship for the first time since 1993.
