This week is known as Holy week for Christians.. Today is Manday Thursday, tomorrow is Good Friday, and Sunday is Easter. Holy week recognizes and celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Today also marks the first full day of the Jewish holiday known as Passover. The name “Passover” refers to the fact that God “passed over” the houses of the Jews when he was slaying the firstborn of Egypt. Passover continues until Wednesday, April 15th.

There is No Anime Club this week! The next meeting will be on Friday April 17 in room 326.

There is a NHS Arts Concert tonight at 7:30 in the Black Box. You can still sign up to perform or submit art work outside of room 480 and 464. There will also be an open mic session during the concert. Remember, this is for all art forms.

Synergy will rehearse on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 in the Black Box. Please be on time! Also, today is the final deadline for the Retreat Forms. They must be turned in to Mr. Cornelius Rish during the school day today or you will not be able to participate in the next retreat or perform at the final retreat of the year.

The girls basketball banquet will be held on April 22nd at St. Paul college. All players need to see coach Taylor to pick up the banquet flyer.

The Central Badminton team takes on the Arlington Phoenix today at 3:15. The girls are currently 1-1 in conference and look to improve with a victory today at home.

Last year the Central Minutemen baseball team tied for first in conference with the Highland Park Scots. Here to give us a preview for this season is Colin Franken.

The Central girls softball team lost a heartbreaking game yesterday in extra innings to their non-conference foe SPA. The girls went into extra innings with a 9-9 tie. In the bottom of the 9th SPA hit a walk off home-run to win the game. The Minutemaids next game is this Tuesday against Johnson.

The NHS Induction ceremony is tonight at 6:30.The ceremony is held to formally admit new members into the National Honor Society.
