Tuesday night at Roy Wilkins auditorium Central Hosted the 139th graduation for the class of 2009. Here with more on the story is Cameron Smith.

Souvenir 2009 graduation programs are available in room 420 for pick-up.

There are still a few yearbooks available for $80 in room 420.

This summer Community Education is offering trainings to become a Red Cross Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor or Water Safety Aide. Successful completion of these trainings could lead to potential employment opportunities this fall. If you are interested stop by the Community Ed office in room 241.

(PICS) The 5th Annual Central High school "Intuit" Art Exhibit began on May 29 at Concordia University Art Gallery, and since then have drawn a large crowd. The Exhibit runs through June 12th, gallery hours are 9am -5pm Monday- Friday. Be sure to go see this exhibit. Its free!

Sophomore Andrew Lewis represents the Minutemen track team tomorrow at the state tournament. He will be running the 100 meter and 200 meter and the meet will take place at Hamline University.

The Staff and Faculty Softball team led by Hardball Hutchinson, Jumpin' Jordahl, Jivin' Jacobs, Hard Hitting Herman, Crazy Colbert, Wild Man Wetjen and Slammin Shippman, play the Central Girl's Softball team in a slow pitch softball game today after school at 3:00 at Dunning Field. This is open for all to attend.

(PICS) On June 1st 2009 a fellow Central student Daishonna Payne passed away do to a horrific car accident. To many, Daishonna was a kindhearted, loving, and free spirited young lady. Daishonna will be missed dearly by family friends and team mates. We all send prayers to her family and in her honor we ask for a moment of silence.

There is an information and sign-up meeting today for the Girls Swimming and Diving team at 2:15 in room 262.

Students who were in Track & Field should turn in their uniforms before the end of the school year to Mr. Galloway.

Did you take driver education and get your permit? Do you still need your six hours of behind the wheel instruction? You can contact the staff in the Community Education Office, room 241 and get on the schedule to complete your program this summer or call them at 651-632-6020.

Congratulations to junior Monica Lee who has been accepted as a Page in the U.S. House of Representatives this summer. She received an acceptance letter from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. This is an exciting program and a great honor to be excepted.
