(DV-VID) Last night at 6:30pm the 2008 Sno Daze coronation was held in the audiorium. About 75 people attended. The Sno Daze court for 2008 is: Lord and Lady are Tong Thao and Jaleza Lee. Duke and Duchess are Will Quam and Sarah Jacobs. Prince and Princess are Jordan Larson and Angela Cruz. King and Queen are Steve Looney and Rosie Graber. Congratulations

Today is the last day to purchase Sno Daze tickets. The Sno Daze dance is tommrrow night at 7:30. As part of Sno Daze week, today is "mask decorating" During all three lunches. Tomorrow will be Mardi Gras Day. Be sure to wear purple, green and gold.

Today is the CMEP Black History Month Staff Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon for staff will be served during all lunches in conference room A&B. All staff are welcome

On Tuesday Central's varsity band competed in the annual Minnesota State High School 4 AA Lage Group Contest at North St. Paul High School. The Central varsity band performed 2 selections: "Washington Post", and "Tocata for Band" and earned an overall superior rating.

Swing Dance club meets today in room 262 for a yearbook picture and a swingin' good time.

Tonight, Central's Mock Trial team "Yo Mama's Guilty" competes against Rosemount in the final round of the regional competition. The team's plaintiff counsel of Charlie Armitz, Matt Carlyon and Sulamita Yang will attempt to lead Central to the state competition for the second year in a row. The trial starts at 5:30pm at the Hennepin County Courthouse in downtown Minneapolis.

Science Olympiad meets today in Mr. Karlin's room 311. The group will also be taking yearbook pictures.

Paintball Club meets tomorrow at 2:15 in room 514

Badminton Practice for the 2008 season begins on Monday. All forms and money need to be turned in, in order to practice. Meet at 2:15 outside the gym and be dressed to play. Captains practice scheduled for today and tomorrow is cancelled.

(PIC) In sports action last night at the state wrestling tournament held at the Xcel Energy Center, Dante Jones was pinned last night at his bid for wrestling state title. He remains in the state competition.

Tomorow five memebers of the Minutemen Boys Swimming and Diving team will compete in the state tournament at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. Sophomore Amir Ener comeptes in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Junior Daues Jorento swims the 200 Individual Medley, and Senior Capitain Steven Looney in the 100 Backstroke.

Also qualifying were the 200 medley relay team - shown here. In the medley relay each swimmer swims 50 yards of a particular stroke. Steven Looney swims the backstroke, Daues swims breaststroke, Steven Hardy swims butterfly, and Senior Capitain Eric DeLuca swims freestyle. Good Luck Boys

Tonight the boys basketball team take on the Como Cougars here at Central, tip off begins at 7.

Last night the girls basketball team smashed the Henry Sibley Warriors in their first section game with a score of 96 to 52. Kiara Buford had an oustanding game with 30 points. The girls next game is Monday against the White Bear Lake Bears at Concordia College for their next section game.
