Today, the Central football team will host the Minnesota Vikings players, coaches, and cheerleaders at 2:15 in the stadium before the big game against the Scotts. Anyone interested in attending should wear or bring anything purple. If you have any questions, see coach Howell in room 556.

In a poll conducted this week, 203 central students were asked this question: If the Presidential Election were held today and if you could vote, who would you vote for?
Obama received 88.5% with a total of 177 votes, McCain received 10.5% with a total of 21 votes and Other Candidates received 1% with 5 votes.

Senior class officer council applications are due Monday. They must be handed directly into Mr.Schlukebier so you can get your picture taken.

Central attends the Minnesota National College Fair on October 2nd at the Minneapolis Convention Center. If you are interested in researching colleges, sign up with Mary Krejce in room 367. The small fee of riding the bus costs $5.00.

Congratulations to the winners of this week's Math Trivia Question! Savannah Haslow, Robin Pilmann, and Dylan Shinn, all had the correct answer of thirty two feet. Winners, come up to Ms. Olson's room 571 to get your candy.

Reminder for all 10th and 11th graders, MEP students to turn in your college visit field trip permission forms to your MEP counselor in Career Resources room. If you forget to get a form and need one they'll be available in the Career Resource room.

All Junior Anticipated Diploma Candidates have a meeting on Thursday September 25th during 3rd hour in room 318. All Junior Diploma Candidates who have not received a pass must see Ms. J in 551 in order to receive one.

Students are to nominate homecoming royalty, today in advisory. Freshman will nominate Lord and Lady, sophomores will nominate Duke and Duchess, juniors will nominate prince and princess, and seniors will nominate king and Queen. You may vote for up to three people. M-team members will pick-up nominations after advisory.

To all the students who are acting, you need to bring your money for "Fences" at Penumbra by today. The cost is 10$, and bring it to Jan in the blackbox.

The Alpine Ski team will be having a informational meeting Thursday, September 25 in the cafeteria at 7:00pm. The meeting will discuss future plans and athletic fees. All students and parents are welcome.

Boy interested in the fall basketball league make sure to turn in your permission slips to Coach Howell in room 556.

The Central volleyball team won in three sets last night, to defeat the Arlington Phoenix. The Minute-maids remain undefeated in Conference play.

The girls Tennis team came out with a another win against the Arlington Phoenix winning 5-2.The girls are currently in first place in conference play.

At 4 the Central Tennis team will take on the Saint Paul Academy Spartans in a non-conference game. The girls look to take home a win and improve their overall record to 9-2.

At 5 the Central girls soccer team will kick off against the Como Park Cougars at Como. Just like the boys the girls are 6-0 and have only allowed one goal in conference play. Good luck girls!

Today at 3:15 The Central Minutemen boys soccer team takes on the Como Park Cougars at Como. The boys are 6-0 in conference and look to continue their domination of the St Paul City Conference with a win.

Tonight our Central Minutemen football team will be taking on the Highland Park Scots here at Griffin, at 7pm, in the battle of The Musket. Since 1964 Central and Highland have faced-off in a friendly competition for the this Musket. The Minuteman have won The Musket 25 times and have taken it home the past three years in a row. Last year the Minuteman took home the Musket with a score of 18-8. Come cheer on the Minuteman tonight and watch them claim The Musket for yet another year.
