On Tuesday, February 10th, the Central Math Department is sponsoring the AMC exams. The AMC-10, which is open only to 9th and 10th grade students and the AMC-12, which is open to all students. Interested students please sign up with any Central math teacher. If you have questions, see Mr. Schwach in room 568.

Anime club meets today after school in 326 and please remember all magazines submission are due today. Prepare written pieces and drawings.The magazine Committee will be staying a little longer after the meeting.

(VID)Members of the St. Paul paramedic and fire department visted Central yesterday, and shared some information about what its like to be a fire fighter or paramedic to students. They shared the postivies, (pause) and the negatives. (pause) They shared where you would live, the equipment you would wear, who might be cooking your meals, and what you would be doing during an early morning emergency call. They explained that being a fire fighter is a serious job, with excitiment and danger.

On Monday Central will host a Martin Luther King Jr. rally from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The rally kicks off with student and young adult speakers plus musical and dance performances in the auditorium. After the rally, the group will form on Lexington Ave. and march from Central High to Concordia University at 10:35.

Central Touring Theatre's final performance for this quarter is tonight.

Registration for AP exams began yesterday January 15 and runs through February 6. Please obtain Parent letters and registrations forms from your AP teacher. Students enrolled in a 2 quarter AP course must register before the end of 2nd quarter.

Last night the Central Aqua men defeated Humboldt 67-36 in Humboldt's own pool. The boys get ready to take on Como Park next Friday.

The Central Wrestling team defeated Highland Park last night 63-18. Winning wrestlers for Central include Ian Hedstrom, Cheng Hang, John Weber, Joe Vang, Hinok Yacob, Olumide Ige, Adrian Wood, Jerome Paul, Henry Petterson, Phil Desroches, and Sam Hansen. Central is currently in 2nd place in the conference with a record of 3-1.

Tonight at 7 the Girls Basketball takes on rival Highland Park at Highland. The Girls are coming off a great win against Johnson and will be looking to extend their conference lead with a win tonight.

Tonight the Central the boys basketball team takes on the Highland Scots. The boys look to rebound after a tough Conference lost to Johnson. The boys will be trying to get there first conference win, Tip-off is at seven
