Today is Thursday, January 15th, Martin Luther king jr's Birthday.

The next session of drivers education begins Tuesday, January 27th. Registration forms are available in the Community Education Office, room 241.

There will be no school on Monday due to the celebration of Martin Luther King Day. But Central will host a MLK rally followed by a march from Central to Concordia University

Senior Diploma cards must be turned in by the end of this week. Blank cards are available in room 420.

On Tuesday, February 10th, the Central Math Department is sponsoring the AMC-10, for 9th and 10th grade students only, and the AMC-12, for all students. There are 25 questions in these 75 minute multiple choice exams which test high school mathematics concepts. The questions range from very easy to extremely difficult. Sign up by Tuesday, January 20th with any Central math teacher. If you have any questions, see Mr. Schwach in room 568.

Registration for AP exams will begin January 15 and run through February 6. Please get Parent letters and registration forms from your AP teacher. If you are enrolled in a 2nd quarter AP course you must register before the end of 2nd quarter. ---------

St. Paul Fire Fighters will be here at 10:30 in the CRC to recruit students and go over Fire Fighting careers.

Tonight and Tomorrow night the Black Box hosts Final Performances for all four theatre classes. Here's Kiara with the preview of what to look forward to.

(VID)Tuesday night, the girls basketball team defeated the Johnson Governors 75-40. The top performers were Samantha Robinson Ricks with 8 points, Bitty Johnson with 11, Jen'Von'Ta Hill with 12, and Theairra Taylor with and outstanding 33 points. Former Central stars, Ashley Ellis Milan and Kiara Buford, along with the super intendant, Maria Carstarphen were in attendance. The girls next conference game is tomorrow night against the Highland Park Scots at Highland at 7pm.

Tonight the Central wrestlers take on the Highland Scotts at 7p.m at Highland.

(Vid) Last night, Central's girl's gymnastics team took on a great meet against the Johnson governors. The meet consisted of Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.
After all the hard work Central won the meet 118 to 103. The story of the night was all around winner Emma Burgeson. The Central junior lead all score with 31.875. The girl's next game is against Highland at Highland on January 23rd at 6:30.

Mucho Gusto the spanish club will be meeting in room 504 today, from 2:15 to 3:15. Everyone is welcomed. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
