Last night the two time state champion girl's basketball team started their playoff season. Here is Darryl with more on the story.

Last night the boys basketball team defeated the Humboldt hawks 70- 51. Leading scorers by Jordan Larson with 21,and Nate kado with 12. The boys are 8- 3 in conference.

Tonight at 7 in the auditorium, the Central music department hosts the Annual Tri School Concert featuring Webster Magnet's honor band, Ramsey Junior High's concert band, and Central's jazz band, orchestra, and concert band. The concert opens with Central's jazz band playing "Fables of Faubus" by Charles Mingus. The concert band will be playing Holst's "First Suite in E Flat", Gillingham's "Be Thou My Vision", and John Barnes Chance's "Incantation and Dance."

Book club members should stop by to the media center today or tomorrow to pick up the new book for this month. The book is called "Snow White And The Seven Samurai" by Tom Holt. In the story, three kids hack a computer system to find out what goes on in fairy tales. The interference causes a virus that makes the characters to behave strangely!
