(PICS) On Friday night at the dance, in front of nearly 500 people, the Snow Daze Royalties were crowned. The winners included: Lord and Lady, Carlton McDonald and Sandy Thao. Duke and Duchess, Tyler Strickland and Amira Gill. Prince and Princess, Nick Herrera and Suzie Woo and King and Queen, Patrick Risberg and Megan Tate. Congratulations to all our Royalties.

Today's Black History trivia is Toni Morrison a famous American Literature writer who won a Nobel prize, was born on this date in Lorraine, Ohio in 1931.

This past weekend Central's gymnasium was packed, but it wasn't for a basketball game. Central hosted the 11th annual Pow Wow for "Ain Dah Yung," a shelter for homeless american indian youth. Here's Jamie LeClaire with more on the story.

Students interested in participating in the Minnesota Energy Challenge should pick up their information form in the lobby during all 3 lunches. The Minnesota Energy challenges goal is to reduce CO2 Emissions.
