On Friday night at the dance, in front of nearly 500 people, the Snow Daze Royalties were crowned. The winners included: Lord and Lady, Carlton McDonald and Sandy Thao. Duke and Duchess, Tyler Strickland and Amira Gill. Prince and Princess, Nick Herrera and Suzie Woo and King and Queen, Patrick Risberg and Megan Tate. Congratulations to all our Royalties.

(Pics) Last weekend, the Ain Dah Yung Center hosted the 11th Annual " Cherish the Children" a traditional PowWow in the Central Gym. "Ain Dah Yung" in Ojibwe means "Our Home". . Over 1000 Native Americans and others gathered on Saturday to share their tribal stories, songs, dances, and art.
Highlights of the 11th Annual Pow Wow included 6 different dances: Fancy Dance, Grass Dance, Traditional Dance, Jingle Dance, Fancy Shawl, and Round Dance. The big event was the Grand Entry March -In and ceremonial drumming competetion that took place at 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock with more than 12 Native American tribes drumming and singing their tribes songs and stories..

The Minnesota Energy Challenge to reduce carbon dioxide starts today. Students can sign-up in either 3 lunches.

Muslim Student Assosiation meets today after school today in Ms. Baer in room 567.

Central students interested in taking the Accuplacer Assessment test which is required to go to community college should sign up with Ms. Krejce in room 367. The test will be given on Friday, February 27th.

Last week, the student council collected and delivered 572 pounds of food to Second Harvest, as part of the Snow Daze collection.

Students who are interested in being on the track team should meet in the balcony at 2:15 tomorrow with Mr. Taylor.

Badminton clothing and racket order forms are due by Friday. Bring your forms and money to Mr. Reinhardt in room 101. Participation fees and forms are to Mr. Galloway by the start of the season. Our season starts on Monday March 2nd.

The Boys Nordic Ski team took 6th place in the State Nordic Ski Meet with a score of 263.

Students interested in being Softball players should meet today outside the athletic office at 2:15

Congratulations to the Boys Swimming and Diving for winning the St paul City conference championship for the 6th year in a row. They had a record of 5-0 and will compete in the Twins Cities championship this Saturday at Humboldt.
