Today is African American Parent Involvement Day here at Central. Many parents will be here to visit their student's classes, learn about Central, and join us for lunch.

In Black History, Leroy Satchel Paige- a famous African American baseball player in the 70's, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on this date in 1971.

This Week is Snow Daze Spirit Week. Today is Pajama Day, and Tuesday is Retro Day, students should wear clothing of the 70's, 80's and 90's.
Snow Daze Dance is on Friday the 13th at 7:30 at The Crown Plaza. The Theme of the dance is " Once Upon A Valentine". Tickets go on sale today in the lobby.

The eleventh annual Ain Dah Tung "Cherish the Children Pow Wow" will be held at Central this Saturday and Sunday in the Central Gymnasium.The public is welcome.

The AMC Math Invitational contest for Central students begins tomorrow at 11:40 AM in the library. Bring a ruler, protractor, compass, and several number 2 pencils. If you have any questions, see Mr. Schwach in room 568.

On Wednesday Centrals Book Club meets in the library from 2:15-3:00 to discuss Comedy and Humor in American Literature.

There will be a Central Baseball team informational and sign-up meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10th at 2:15 pm in room 262.

The Alpine Ski Team skiis tomorrow at Wild Mountain for the Frostbite Invitational. Buses leave at 11am, Skiers should bring $5 for lunch.

On Friday the Central boy's basketball team defeated the Harding Knights 87 to 53. 5'11 Point guard Nathaniel Kado scored 14 of those points.

(vid) Friday Night, the Central Minutemen Girls Basketball team were joined by Centrals band to take on the Harding Knights. The Minutemaids kept Harding at 3 points at half-time with a 31-3 score. Twelve Central girls scored in the victory with Theairra Taylor leading the way with 18 points. The team put on a 3-point shot clinic with notable scorers: Kyana Johnson, Megan Tate and Chantel Robinson all with 6 points each, Laura Hansen with 8 points, Maya Cyrus with 9 points, and Samantha Robinson-Ricks with 11 points. The girls also beat Osseo on Saturday 57-51 and remain undefeated in conference overall record of 15-5. The girls take on the Johnson Governors tomorrow night at Johnson, tip off is at 7pm.

The Central JV gymnastics team took conference with a perfect record after wrapping up their season last Friday at Como. The girls had a perfect season winning all there matches. All Around winners were 10th graders Julia Amundson and Brett Schneider taking 1st and 2nd respectively. Congratulations girls on a great season! Next up for the girls is the varsity conference, this Thursday at Johnson
