The Central Girls Basketball team will not make it three State Championships in a row. They lost in the sectional semi-final on to a talented team from White Bear Lake. Here is Tati with more on the story.

This was a tough loss for the girls but their two championships over the last two years will be remembered as some of the best teams in Central Sports History.

This weeks math trivia question is: A drama club charges a $3 admission to the one-act play festival. Their expenses are $115 in order for the club to make exactly $110 after expenses, how many people must attend the festival? Submit your answers to Ms. Olson room 571, due to the shortened week answers are due by March 19th.

The next session of Drivers Ed classes start on April 7th. Applications are available in Community Education room 241.

Multicultural Festival Committees meet after school Thursday. Committees should pick up applications outside room 480 and turn them in at the meeting. The annual Central Multicultural Festival takes place on May 1st.

The TEAE test, Test of Emerging Academic English, will be taken tomorrow March 11th and Thursday March 12th in the Cafeteria. Students taking the test have already received their testing day from their advisory teachers. See Annette Nelson in room 382 if you have any further questions.

This Friday, at 6 pm in the Black Box, "One in Ten," a social justice play will be performed. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. At the event, donations will be collected to support the Matthew Shepard Foundation for Gay Rights. There will be a reception with food after the performance.

(PICS) Adult tutors from the House of Hope Presbyterian Church come to Central every Tuesday for one hour to help students work towards passing the grad test. These tutors are: Laura Merriam, Peter Armstrong, Bob Mairs, Kay Solon, Allan Floyd, Julianna Gorder, and Carol Thoreen. Central thanks them for their service.

All girl basketball teams meet tomorrow after school at 2:15 in room 243.

Congratulations to Central Math team for taking 4rth place in the 25th annual state math tournament at South Saint Paul on Monday. Martin Camacho took first place in the tournament and first place in the mathematics league math bowl, defeating nearly 350 students from 46 different schools. We hope to have Martin and the team live in the studio next monday.

(VID)Last Friday, the Central Minutemen boys basketball team crushed the Harding Knights 71-32. The scorers of the game were Jody Washington, Michael Adams, and Eric Grice with 3 points, William McDonough with 4 points, DJ Johnson and Larry Davis with 6 points, LeDarian Horton with 7 points, Taylor Smaller and Martin Smith with 8 points, Cameron Smith with 10 points and Jordan Larson with 13 points. Here are some highlights of the game:

The boys end their season second in conference with a record of 9 to 3. The first section game is Friday night against the Woodbury Royals here at Central with tip off at 7pm.
