Central High School Welcomes the IB Middle Years Program Site visitors, Ms.Jeanette Lafevers, Ms. Pat Deragisch and Mr.Brian Lamb.
This visit is part of the authorization process for approval to offer the MYP program.

Jonathan Schellenberg and Jennifer Wei have qualified to take the National Chemistry Olympiad Examination. They placed 1st and 3rd, respectively on the first qualifying examination. Congratulations and best wishes!

CMEP and the Elks Chapter of Minnesota are sponsoring a Oratorical contest at the beginning of next month. First prize is $125 with a chance to win as much as 10,000 in scholorship money. To get the specific topics and more information please see Coach Howell in room 556 ASAP.

Today at 3:45 the Central Minutemen Baseball team takes on the Como Park Cougars at Dunning Stadium in the teams 3rd conference game of the season.The Minutemens record is 1-1 and the Como Park Cougars record is 2-0 This looks to be a close game so everybody should come out and show their support.

(PICS)Yesterday the Central Minutemen Girls Softball team suffered a loss to the Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks, 4 to 0. The girls have a 1-1 conference record and are in 3rd place. Today they take on our rival, the Highland Park Scots, also 3rd in conference, here at Dunning Fields at 4pm.

Last night the Boys and Girls Track & Field teams competed in a Conference quad meet. the results for the Girls are Central 112 Harding 24, Central 114 Arlington 22, Central 134 Humboldt 1. The boys results are Central 109 Arlington 23, Central 116 Humboldt 15, Central 78 Harding 55. The teams next meet is on Thursday the 23rd.

The Central High School Scholarship Application was distributed at the senior class meeting last week. There over 30 scholarships available under one application from $500 - $12,000. See counselor Steve Olson for more applications.
