This year's 2007-2008 Student Council memebers have been determined. The Student Council list is posted outside of Student Council room 321. The first full Student Council meeting is on October 23rd, next Tuesday, in the library afterschool.

(IS) Voting for Senior Class Council members takes place tomorrow during advisory. Six candidates will be elected. The Senior Class Council members candidates are; Julia Amundson, Curtis Bakken, Britany Brown, Vanessa Gill, Dorothy Her, Megan Howard, LaCresia King, Chee Kue Lee, Heidi Masanz, Arwa Osman, Courtney Paulson, Daniel Salazar, Leah Sarzoza, Halston Sleets, Cher Vang, Mai Kou Yang, Mai Nhia Yang, and Mercedes Yarbrough.

There will be a two session course offered for students taking the ACT Test this fall.Participants will gain confidence,review the content, and familiarize yourself with the format. There are two courses and are held November 17th and December 1st, from 9a.m.-3p.m at Central.The course is only $1.00 and you must attend both sessions.This includes materials and a final practice test. November 17th and December 1st there will be a course for students taking the ACT Test this fall.The course will be held at Central high School from 9a.m.-3p.m.

(IS) All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, remember to report to your advisory on Wednesday, October 17th to take important college preperatory exams. All ninth graders will be taking the EXPLORE, all 10th graders will be taking the PLAN, and all 11th graders will be taking the PSAT. Please remember to bring a number 2 pencil and a Calculator!

Today and tomorrow from 7:30 am to 10:30am will be the last opportunity to register for IB exams. Students may register in the IB office in Room 557.

VIP tutoring for any Central student by Central teachers begins today from 2:00-4:00 in the library. Students interested can pick up referral forms in the library or from teachers. VIP tutoring is every Monday and Wednesday. Bus tokens are available to students who stay one or more hours.

Get caught up on homework by joining B.A.M. - Building And Mentoring. BAM meets in Room 504 at 2:15. If you want to be a leader contact Shahir Ampey in room 465 during advisory.

Mock Trial meets today in Room 406 from 2:15-4:00.

The Central Touring Theater will be hosting benefit concert in the blackbox on Friday, Nov. 2nd at 6p.m. This is a benefit concert to raise money for the 35W bridge. They're looking for bands and preformers to perform. Signup before Friday, Oct. 26th by seeing Ms. Mandell in the blackbox.

All freshmen soccer players return party forms, money and uniforms to Mr. Steiner in Room 569 As Soon As Possible.

Last Friday the Central Minuteman closed out there regular season with a win over Arlington Phoenix with a final score of 22-6. This win put the Minuteman 3rd in conference for the year with a record of 4 & 2. D.J. Johnson led the game in rushing with 176 yards and 1 TD. Centrals Defense was at an all time high led by Junior, Jordan Larson with 10 tackles and an interception, Aaron Volkert had 9 tackles and 2 sacks, & Christian Atlas also had 8 tackles and 1.5 sacks

Saturday Oct. 13th, Centrals boys soccer team defeated Cretin Durham Hall Raiders 1-0 in section 4AA playoffs. In the last 4 minutes of overtime Central's Naveed Effendi scored an amazing game winning goal! The next game takes place Tuesday, Oct. 16th against Hill Murray Pioneers at Spring Lake Park, at 7:00.
