(Pep Fest VID)Yesterday during 6th period in the gymnasium the anuual homecoming pep rally was held. The Mc's for the event were Darnell Overton and Jamal Rodgers. There were several different events; for the royal games, the seniors won the challenge, and the hip hop team performed an outstanding performance.

The 2007 Homecoming Dance is tonight in the cafeteria from 7pm to 10:30pm. Students must have their ticket and I.D. at the door.

The Homecoming Dance Committee will meet at 2:30 today in room 321

On Monday, October 8th, durning advisory, Students will vote for the 2007-2008 Student Council members. Students can vote for 5 candidates from their grade level.

Senior class election continues for two advisories that didn't vote yesterday. Seniors will also elect class officers next week.

A 2007 Hall Of Fame assembly will be held on Tuesday, October 9th in the auditorium. The new inductties will be Leigh Kamman, class of '40. Art Downey and Harvey Mackay, class of '50. And Mary K.Murray Boyd, class of '60.

Congratualtions to Martin Estes who received an honorable mention in the national "Redesign Your School Contest" This contest was sponsered by the American Architectural Foundation and Target.

There will be an informational meeting about the Gates Millenium and Page Education scholarships on Tuesday, October 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Saint Paul College. These two scholarships are exclusively for students of color. Sudents and thier parents are encouraged to attend. See Ms. Krejce for more information.

The College Fair is next Wed. Oct. 10th. Students planning on attending the College Fair, your permission slips MUST be turned in to the CRC by Monday Oct. 8th. See Ms. Krejce in room 367 for more information.

(IS) Last night at Central's homecoming game, Central lost to Hill-Murray 42-14. The Minutemen scored in the 3rd quareter. Jordan Larson caught a 55 yard pass and a 19 yard pass from Terrel Frazier. Key Minutemen players were unable to play at last nights game. Good try boys.

(IS)Central Varsity Cross Country will be at the Swan Invitational at Enger Park in Duluth tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.

The Central boys and girls soccer team goes against Como tonight at Como with Boys at 3:15 and the Girls at 5:00. The Boys Soccer team also goes against Maple Grove at Central tomorrow at 5:00.

(IS)Central girls Swimming and Diving will compete in the Simley Invitational at the Vetaran's Comm. Cneter at 1:00 tomorrow.
