(PIC) 5 years ago today, Senator Paul Wellstone and his wife Shelia, were killed in a plane crash. Tonight at 7:30, a memorial will be held to celebrate and honor his legacy, in the Rauenhorst Hall in the Coeur de Cathrine Student Center at the College of St. Catherine.

3M STEP Applications are due Friday, October 26th. Please return all applications to the envelope outside of Mr. Nilsen's room 221.

Homecoming pictures will be available tomorrow during all 3 lunches

Science Olympiad meets today after school in room 311. All interested should attend.

(IS) Seniors, next Tuesday, October 30th Photographer's Guild will be coming to Central Highschool to photograph seniors who have not yet taken there senior pictures. They will be available from 10 a.m.-1 p.m in Mr.Schlukebier's room 420. Seniors who have not yet taken their pictures please attend, this is the last opportunity to get your picture in the yearboook. There is a Informational Wrestling Meeting today at 2:20 in Mr. Briggers Room 244.

Last night at Humboldt, the undefeated Centrals Girls swimming and diving team beat the Highland Park Scotts in their final meet of the year. The aqua maids are now 6-0 in the conference. Central will go on to the twin cities meet on november 3rd.

Yesterday, the Boys and Girls Cross country teams completed their seasons with a strong finish. The boys team placed 4th overall behind the top 3 teams in the state. Sophomore, Kemal Jarso was Central's top finisher placing 5th overall in the 5 kilometer race. Kemal's time qualifies him for the State tournament. The girls team finished ahead of all other St. Paul schools. Junior Lexy Millett earned Central's best time in the 4k.

Last night in volleyball playoff action, White Bear Lake Bears defeated the Central Minutemaids in all 3 sets.

Mysterious disappearances of students have been linked to a wandering, terrifying Schluk-a-bear. More information will come on Halloween.
