The Muslim Student Association and Mesibah held a holiday celebration last Friday in the cafeteria. The celebration began with a speech by co-presidents Malcolm Kerr and Jeremy Levinger, then a speech by MSA president Dahir Wako. The party concluded with some tasty traditional foods.

The math trivia question for this week is: solve the inequality "negative seven y plus 19 is less than 75." Submit your answer to Mrs. Olson in room 571.

The badminton team will be selling egg rolls during conferences tomorrow. Egg rolls are only 1 dollar and will be sold in the cafeteria. Any staff member interested in placing an order in advance, forms are in your mailbox. Orders will be delivered to your conference table.

Fresh Force's "Feed the Need" banquet to raise money to help a local family is this Friday starting at 5 in the cafeteria.

If you're interested in writing, there's a Martin Luther King Essay Contest being held for senior highschool students. The theme is "Education: American Dream or Public Crisis". Get submissions from Mr. Rish or Mr. Schlukebier.

Central's choirs presents their annual Winter Concert Thursday night in Central's auditorium featuring the Concert Choir and Central Singers.

Auditions for the one act play are today and Wednesday the 17th after school in Ms.Hutchinson room, 518.

Parent-teacher conferences will take place tomorrow evening.

This past weekend, Central's wrestling team took 6th place in the Minneapolis Edison Tournament. 2 JV champions, Adrian Wood and Joe Jones did very well and heavy-weight champion Sam Hanson walked away with 3 pins.

This weekend the Central Girls Basketball team had two games, On Friday they defeated Minneapolis Washburn 68-21. The Girls played great defense allowing only 9 second half points. On Saturday they defeated Becker 43-34 in a close road game. The Girls next play tomorrow against Cretin-Derham Hall here at Central at 7.
