Prom tickets go on sale today in all three lunches. Ticket prices are $35.00 each and only cash will be accepted. Plus the first 50 gentlemen to buy tickets will be entered in a drawing to win a free tux

Today, the winners of the National Merit Scholarship were named. Over one thousand students in and around the Twin Cities will win from 500 to 10,000 dollars, per year to the college or their choice. The scholarships are funded by about 200 companies, foundations, and business organizations in the area. Central was the only school to have two merit winners. Congratulations to seniors Berit Goetz and Hannah Peterson. Both students won the National Merit 3M Scholarship.

There will be a review session for U.S. Government and Politics today after school in Mr.Ormsby's room. Tomorrow there will be a study group for macroeconomics after school, also in Mr.Ormsby's room.

NHS will be having elections for new committee heads and board members this coming Tuesday, April 28th during advisory and 3rd hour. All members who wish to run for a position must sign up outside Ms. Peter's room, 480, and attend an after school meeting on Monday.

Today at 3:15 the Central Minutemaid Badminton team takes on rival Highland Park at Central. These two teams have already played each other once this year, Central won that match 5-2 and look to win once again.

Members of Centrals Concert Band and Orchestra performed at the Ordway honors concert. central was well represented and gave an outstanding performance.

Yesterday the Central Minutemen Tennis team defeated the Humboldt Hawks 7-0. The boys are now 4-1 in conference and their next meet is today against Johnson at 3:15 here at Central

Yesterday the Boys and Girls Golf teams competed in conference meets. The Boys results are Central 12 Harding 0 and Central 8 Johnson 4. The Girls results are Central 10 Como Park 2, Central 7 Johnson 5 and Central 6 Highland Park 6. The teams next compete on Thursday at Highland National Golf Course.

(PICS)- Ramp-Up to Readiness was recognized by the Board of Education last Tuesday for winning a 10,000 dollar General Mills Celebrating Communities of Color grant. Central was one of 50 twin cities organizations to receive the grant.

Today at 4 the Central Minutemaid Softball team looks to bounce back from 3 straight conference losses when they take on the Harding Knights here at Central. The Knights are 3-2 in conference while the Minutemaids are 1-3. Good Luck Girls
