Junior Anticipated IB Diploma Candidates are meeting today. Come to room 318 during 3rd period. Students who have not as yet received a pass from their advisor must see Mrs. J in room 551.

Today at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria there will be an informational meeting for the Alpine ski team. All students interested in ski racing, snowboarding, and winter activities are welcome to attend. See Mr. Lanier in room 463 for any questions.

Today there is a meeting for the full membership National Honor Society in the auditorium right after school.

Just a reminder that CMEP applications are available outside of room 556. The first CMEP meeting will be this Thursday at 10 o'clock. If you have any questions please see Coach Howell in room 556.

Are you a junior or senior and at least 16 years old? Do you have a GPA of 2.0 or higher, have good attendance and have a strong interest for science? The 3-M STEP program is for you. Applications are available in room 367. You must turn in your application to Mary Krejce by Tuesday October 14.

Monday Sept. 29 will be the last day to drop a class. After that date you will receive an "N" and will be placed in study hall. You must also have a note from a parent or guardian.

Tonight at 7pm, the Central Minutemen football team kicks off against the 1-3 Como Park Cougars, here at Griffin Stadium. If the Minutemen win tonight they will improve their record to 4-0 in Conference and will remain in first place.

(VID) Last night the Central Minutemen boys soccer team defeated their arch rival the Highland Scots. The Boys had an impressive 5-1 win including two goals from Sophmore Jake Wythers.After the 1st half it was still a close match but in the second half the boys pulled away. Hanok Yacob had a very impressive goal with a header to increase the boys lead to 3-1.Freshman Ian Shank got in on the action and had a late goal to secure the boys win. The Boys are still undefeated in conference with a 9-0 record and have only three games left in the conference season. The boys next game is on Monday against Arlington.

Girls Swimming and Diving takes on St.Paul academy today at 4:30. The match is at Harding High school. Central is 1 and 0 in conference, and SPA is 1 and 1.

Central's girls tennis team faces the Johnson Governor's at home this evening at 3:15. The girls are looking for their 9th conference win, as the Governor's are yet to win their first game overall.

Last night Central Girl's soccer team battled the second place Highland Scots for first place. The intense match went in to overtime and ended with a 1-1 tie. Senior Emily Johnson scored the lone goal. The Girls have a secure lead in the conference with an 8-0 and 1 record. Congratulations girls!
