(IS) First quarter finals will be Wednesday November 5th and Thursday November 6th. Finals for classes 1, 3 & 5 will be on Wednesday. Finals for classes 2, 4 & 6 will be on Thursday. There will be no school that Friday, the 7th.

Next Tuesday, November 4, is election day. All students at Central will be participating in Kids Vote, a national experience that shows students how adults vote. Social Studies classes will go to the Media Center and vote.

(IS)For seniors applying to colleges, there are five items you will need to bring to your appointment: 1. your applications, 2. recommendations, 3. addressed envelopes, 4. application fee and $2 per transcript. Your counselor will handle the rest for you

Admission Counselors from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities visit Central next Tuesday at 11:00am in the CRC. They will help with the application process.. Students who are interested in attending the workshop must sign up in advance. For more information see Ms. Krejce in room 367.

There is no NHS tutoring today. NHS Tutoring will be next Wednesday.

There is a meeting for all this year's football players today at 12:15 in the cafeteria, any questions see coach Howell in room 566

The Chinese Club meeting is canceled for today. Chinese Club will have their Wonton sale tomorrow and Friday before school. Members must meet in room 503 at 630 in the morning.

There is a meeting today at 6:00 at Jimmy lee Rec center for any Freshman interested in Boys' Basketball. Any questions see Coach Howell in room 566.

The Girls Swimming and Diving team defeated the Harding Knights last night 93 to 66. This was the last conference meet of the season and the team finishes the season 6 and 0. Central will take on Minneapolis Southwest in the twin cities meet on Saturday at 1:30pm

The Central World Cup soccer tournament took place yesterday at Griffin Stadium. Participating were Russia, Italy, France, Spain, Senegal, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Paraguay and Germany. Argentina beat Senegal in a close 2-1 match to become tournament champions.
