Ninth grade Shadow Guides will meet with Ms Warner Tonyan Thursday in room 578 during Advisory for this week's Shadow Guide assignments.

There is a CMEP meeting today at 10:00 in the auditorium. Class dismissal forms are available outside of room 556.

NHS members interested in becoming editors for the Central Literary Magazine "Verbal Promiscuity" should come to a meeting today on room 480 after school.

The newly formed Korean Culture club meets Thursday after school in room 322. The group meets to learn about Korean culture and how to speak culture.

The One-Act play "Passion, Poison, Petrification" goes in to dress rehearsal today after school in preperation for competition tomorrow. All students are invited to the dress rehearsl today after school in the auditorium. And here to tell us more are Adolphus and Fits.

Last day to change your class schedule is Friday, February 1. You must have a note, signed by 1) your parent or guardian, and 2) the principal, Mary Mackbee, to request a change in any year long class. Remember, appointments to see your counselor can be made before or after school, and during passing time.

The National Honor Society sponsored Multicultural Fair will be held in May this year. Students interested in being involved in the Multucultural Fair should come to a Multicultural Fair information meeting in room 461 afterschool today.

Today is the last opportunity for seniors to order graduation announcemnets from the Josten's representative in the lobby today. Graduation Announcements order forms are available by room 420.

Last night, Central's Mock Trial team "Yo Mama's Guilty" defeated regional opponent Eagan 232-221, in an intense trial between two of the top teams in the region. With the win, "Yo Mama's Guilty" will move onto playoff round 3 as the top seed in its region. Team "Rock the Mock" also competed, but lost a tough trial to the other team from Eagan. With the loss, "Rock the Mock" is eliminated from the competition, but has high hopes for next year. Congratulations to Laura Zats for earning a perfect score of 10 for her closing argument.

On Thursday, an all-day exhibition, in affliation with "Focus the Nation," on possible solutions for global warming and climate change will be held in Central's auditorium. Science teachers are encouraged to bring their classes.

In sports action last night the boys' swimming and diving team took on the Bloomington Kennedy Eagles. It was a close meet, but in the end Central prevailed with a score of 98 to 85. The boys have a perfect record of 4 and 0

All Girl's Basketball Players The bus for today's scrimmage at DeLasalle will leave Central at 3:00. All three teams will be attending this scrimmage. There will not be any practices at Central today.

The boys basketball team hosted Minneapolis Southwest last night at Central's gym. The minutemen won the non-conference match-up easily 86 to 48. The boys' return to conference games on Friday against Arlington.

Tonight the boys hockey team travels to Parade stadium to take on Minneapolis East. The game starts at 7:30pm.

The badminton team will be selling egg rolls for $1 each today and Thursday during C lunch and after school in the lobby. In addition, the team hosts open gym for badminton players and anyone interested from 6 to 7 AM on Thursday.

Also tonight, the girls gymnastics team is at Johnson to take on the Governors. The girls are 3 and 2 and are in 2nd place in the Conference. The meet starts at 6:30.
