Today is Thursday, April 24th and

This afternoon, 25 Central students will bus to the Veterans Service Building on the grounds of the Capitol. The sudents will be able to interact live, via
satilite feed, to soldiers in Iraq. The troops are stationed at Camp Anoconda near Bosra, and are a part of the Second Batalian 147th Avaiation
Blackhawk unit.

Last night 70 central students were inducted into the National Honor society. The night started with opening statements by central's NHS president
Danny Chahla, followed by the explantion of the four pillars of NHS presented by the NHS officers. (TURN VID ON!!!) Sue Hague, former Ramsey County
commisioner, and now president of Habitat for hummanity was a featuring guest for th evening. The highlight of the evening was the candel lighting
ceremony and the pledge the oath of the Honor Society. The evening ended with all new inducties signing the National Honor Society book.

On May 1st Student council holds its annual blood drive in the Gym. Students can sign up in all three lunches. To be elligable to give blood students
must be at least 17 years of age and 110 pounds. For more information talk to M-team members,like Laura Johnson who is here with more information
about the Blood Drive!

CMEP's Federal Reserve students please see Coach Howell as soon as possible if interested in a paid summer internship. Interviews for the internships
will be coming up soon.

Prom tickets are on sale outside all three lunches for 35 dollars. The "Red Carpet Affair" Prom is centered around a hollywood movie theme. The dance
takes place on May 3rd at the Landmark Center in Downtown St.Paul. Prom direcftor Ms Olson is also looking for 9th and 10th graders to help at Prom
see Mrs. Olson in room 571. Participants will recieve free prom pictures and also help make the night spectacular and memorable.

CMEP will be going to Valley Fair Friday May 16. Permission ships will be available on Monday in Coach Howells room. Hurry, space is limited.

Central's drama board will present the Harold Pinter's play "A Night Out," all next weekend, Friday May 2nd at 7 PM, Saturday May 3rd and Sunday
May 4th at two PM in the auditorium. Admission is 7 dollars for adults and 5 for children.

(VID)On Tuesday the track team had a meet at Central against Arlington,Como and Harding. Results still have not been tallied. Here is some footage.

Yesterday, Centrals Baseball team squashed the Humbodlt Hawks 15-0.They now stand 3-0 in conference.The team was lead by Tom Schulz who was
3 for 4 with 6 R.B.I and two runs.There next game takes place at Dunning Field against Highland Park this Friday ,at 3:45.

Centrals Girls Golf team goes against Harding and Johnson today after school at 2:45 at Roseville Cederholm.

The girls Softball team took a tough lost agianst Como Park yesterday 11-2.They take on the Harding Knights tomorrow at 4:00, at Harding.

Central's Tennis team beat the Arlington Pheonix 7-0 at yesterdays game.They now stand 5-0 in conference.There next match is tomorrow against the
Harding Knights at 3:15 at Harding.
