Last night was the annual Spring Band Concert. The Varsity Band started off the night. They were followed by the Wind Ensemble featuring soloists Ellen Rice on the Trumpet and Orin Larson on the Trombone. The Concert band was the highlight of the evening and put on an overwhelming performance. The band played the Overture to Candide" by Leonard Bernstein, a unique contemporary piece called "Cloudburst" by Eric Whitacre, the Overture Die Fledermaus by Strauss, and a selection by Sousa, "The White Rose". The Jazz Band capped off the night with three swinging tunes. Congratulations to Matt Oyen and the members of all four bands who performed.
