Today is the first day of May, also known as May Day. This holiday is often symbolized by the colorful new growth of spring.

Sunday, May 4th, Central seniors from Seeds of Change and AVID are being recognized at the 1st Annual Senior Celebration at Metropolitan State University beginning at 4pm.

Students interested in forming a fencing club should contact Ms. Vadnis. The Fencing club will start next fall if there is enough interest. The coaches will be world class professionals and equipment rental will be available to the club members.

Yesterday, M.A.D., Making A Difference, hosted a barbeque after school. 60-70 students attended and raised $215 to aid Orphans in Ghana, Africa.

On Tuesday the Central Boy's Track and Field team competed in the Bob Stewart Invitational Track Meet at Moundsview. Central finished fifth in a very strong field of some of the top teams in Minnesota. Congratulations to the following first place winners: Kemal Jarso in the 2 mile, Andrew Lewis in the 200 meter and the Sprint Medley relay team of Devonte Hawkins, Paul Dalbec, Edwin Cruz and Kemal Jarso.

(PIC) Yesterday Centrals Badmitton team smashed the Humboldt Hawks, coached by Jason Schlukebier 7-0. All but 1 of the 7 matches were won in 2 games. The girls record is now 5-4. Centrals Captain Yer Chang posted a deciding victory against the Hawks. Tonight the girls hit the bird against Highland Park at 3:00pm, at Central.This is the last home game for Seniors.

Boys Tennis lost a tough match against Highland yesterday 5-2.There next game is tomorrow against Como at 3:15, at Como.

Yesterday Girls Softball beat Arlington 14-9.Congratulations girls. The girls now stand 6-2 in conference.Today the girls play against Minnehaha Academy at Dunning Field

The Central Baseball team plays against the Arlington Pheonix, tomorrow at 3:45, at Arkwright Field.
