If you didnt get a copy of the schools newspapaer yesterday, pick one up from room 420, the Office or Glorias desk. The paper contains a voters guide to the M-team election which begins Monday.

(IS)The Cinco de Mayo celebration, also known as the Fifth of May starts this friday on St. Paul's Westside. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration in rememberance of the events of May 5th 1862 when 4000 mexican soldiers defeated a coalition of 8000 french and thier mexican allies.The festivies begin at 4 with a lowrider show, and end at 9. Saturday's fiesta starts at 9Am and end at 6. The parade begins at 10 AM. There will be many performances held on fivedifferent stages with performances by, Big Meech aka Million Dollar Kid, Maria Isa, and her 9-piece band. Come and enjoy the food and the activities.

This weekend, the Central Drama board presents three performances of Harold Pinter's play "A Night Out." Here's Nora Hencir with more on the story. (DV)(VID). Tickets can be purchased at the door. Hope to see you there!

Today is the last day the library will be open this year until next fall when the renovations will be complete. All textbooks and library books will be checked in each individual classroom. Students need to return books to check new textbooks out in the fall.

The annual student council blood drive took place yesterday. They were hoping to get 80 pints of blood donated. Did they make it? Here is CMN reporter Watt Danz with more. ***** (dv-vid-blood drive) *****
Only 3 pints short is pretty good. Thanks again to all involved.

(INTRO) Next week elections for the 2008-2009 M-Team will be held in the lobby during all three lunches. Only seven cendidates will be elected, with three members already serving on M-Team. Now here's reporter Dorothy Her with more upclose footage of the fifteen Candidates.

Yesterday the Girls Badminton team squeezed out a victory against the Highland Park Scots 4 to 3. Senior capitain Ka Vang was the deciding victory she won her third game with a score of 21 to 11. The girls are currently thrid in the conference with a 6 and 4 record. Their next game is on monday against the Johnson Governors.

Today the Central Minutemen Baseball team starts the second half of their conference scheduale with a game against the Arlington Phoenix at Arkwright field. The game starts at 3:45.

This past weekend William Jacobson passed away in Ithica New York. Willie was a 2007 graduate of Central High School,and was a Freshmen at Ithica College in upstate New York. Now please join us in a moment of silence in memory of Willie Jacobson class of 2007.
