(VID) Last night the Central Minutemen football team came out victorious against the Como Park Cougars, 37-21. Senior running back DJ Johnson ran for 2 touchdowns to lead the team to a victory. Their record is now 4-0 and next Thursday they play the undefeated Johnson Governors for the Conference championship. This is Central Homecoming game. Come cheer on the Minutemen next Thursday at 7pm.

The last day to drop a class will be Monday, September 29th. After this date you will receive an "N". You must also have a note from a parent or guardian and then you will then be put in a "Study Hall".

Next Wednesday, Seniors will nominate the top three candidates for Senior Class Council.The categories are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.Information about the candidates are available in a special addition of the Central High Times.

For Juniors and Seniors who are interested in going to the College Fair on Thursday Oct.2. Permission slips are due to Ms.Krejce by Monday September 29. Ms.Krejce room is in room 367.

IB Testing registration for students and teachers begins Wednesday, October 1st.
You may pick your forms up in room 551. Students on free or reduce lunch will not need to make a payment, all others must pay $25 per test. Make sure you pay on separate checks for each test. If you have any questions contact Mrs. J in room 551.

Juniors and Seniors in UMTYMP or the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Mathematics Program should report to room 318 during advisory today, after the Central Morning News, for an important IB math meeting.

Applications for 3-M STEP are available in room 367.
Completed applications must be returned to Mary Krejce on Tuesday, October, 14.

be an informational meeting after school Monday Sept.29th in the gymnastic gym.

(VID)The girls soccer team played what could be their most important game of the year on Wednesday against the 2nd place Highland Park Scots. The Minute-maids fought hard and senior Emily Johnson scored a goal to put the girls up 1-0.Highland got a late goal and tied the game. The game went to overtime but a winner could not be decided. With the tie the girls now stand at 8-0-1 in conference and still have a narrow lead over the Scots in the standings. They take on the 0-8 Arlington Phoenix on Monday, here at Central.

Central Boys soccer plays Arlington on Monday. The boys are looking for their 10th conference win. The boys have a substantial lead in conference.

Last night due to rain the Girls Tennis match was postponed, they will play the make-up game today at 315 against the Johnson Governors at the Bucky Olson Tennis Courts here at Central. The Girls have secured at least a tie for conference and possibly a win of conference. Good Luck girls

(PICS) The Central Volleyball team beat the Harding Knights in three matches yesterday. Last night was also parent's night, where the players thanked thier parents with letters. Highlights of the game were twelve ace serves in a row made by Yadira Sevilla, Ellen Semf got fourteen kills, Sarah walker made eight kills, and Megan Tate made six. The girls are currently first in conference play with a record of 7-0. The girls have not lost a conference match in play since September of 2003.The girl's next game is next Tuesday at Como. the team is playing Como for the first time.

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team beat St. Paul Academy last night 100 to 66. This was there second meet and victory they are now 2-0 in conference
