Central's Extended Day program starts today from 2:15 to 4:45.

The Ramp Up to Readiness program informational session will be presented in the auditorium tonight, 7:15 to 7:45.

The first Central Parent teacher conference is tonight from 4-7 o'clock in the cafeteria and the lobby.

Book club meets Wednesday in the library after school to discuss "The Glass Castle"

Student interested in science and technology can apply for the 3M STEP program. The deadline is October 14, pick up an application in the CRC.

IB testing students are reminded that payment should accompany registration forms.
Checks may be payable to Central High School. Students on free or reduced lunch do not need to pay. The deadline for the applications are due this Friday.

Congratulations to Principal Mary Mackbee. She is the co-receipient of the "IB North American Inspiration award. Ms. Mackbee was presented with this prestigious award this past July in San Francisco.

Applications for student council are in room 321 for students interested in being a member. Turn applications in by Friday to Room 321 or to M-Team members.

Would you like to help donate to a good cause? Go to any Lunds or Byerlys by THIS Wednesday, October 8th, and buy Progresso soup. It's listed at 10 cans for $11.00, but if you buy in groups of 5 people, you get the for 10 cents a can! There is a limit of 20, so buy 20 cans for $2.00 and bring it into the office by Friday. Food is given to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The Girls Swimming and Dive Team swam 107-36 victory against Humboldt last Friday. Central's Conference record is now 3-0. with meets against Johnson, Como and Harding still to come.

Tonight at 7 the 1st place Girls Volleyball team will take on the 2nd place Highland Scots at Highland. The Girls have only three games left in the season and with a win can secure a conference championship.
