On sunday, many people will be celebrating, pampering, and giving back to their mothers for mothers day. Here are some central students and staff mothers.

Drama Board is accepting applications for new members for the 2009-2010 school year. Drama Board decides what the fall musical and the spring play will be. Applications can be picked up from Ms. Hutchinson in room 518, from Ms. Jordahl in room 517, or outside the office. Completed applications need to be turned in by Wednesday May 13, 2009 to either Ms. Hutchinson or Ms. Jordahl.

Central's senior Zane Hill was awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship for academics and caddying. He is the only metro area student to receive this scholarship. Congrats Zane!

(PICS) This year's Prom, A Night in Paris, starts at 7:30 this weekend on Saturday at the River Center.

Last night the Central Boys varsity baseball team competed in the 2nd annual Varsity Alumni game. The game had the 2009 varsity team playing Alumni baseball players, the oldest being from the class of 96. Here are Aidan and Walt with more on the game.

Central's Cycling Club Scavenger Hunt and Picnic is postponed today. They will be meeting next Friday at 3 P.M. after school. All participants are to meet at the bike racks with their helmet and a camera. Everyone is welcome to join

(PIC) Central's Concert and Varsity band played to a full house last night. The concert opened with the Drum-Line performing under the direction of Steve Collins. The big highlights of the show were the songs Africa: Ceremony, Song and Ritual and Stars and Stripes Forever performed by Concert Band. Jazz Band closed the show and performed the 40's hit "I Get A Kick Out Off You" with the vocal accompaniment of Kristi Moua.

Yesterday, the Girls' Golf Team met at Highland National Golf Course and played 18 holes with Harding, Humboldt, and Como Park's golf teams. Central beat Harding and Humboldt, but lost to Como Park.

Yesterday our girls softball team defeated the Harding Knights 3-2 at Harding. Maia Wallburg was the winning Pitcher. The last conference game will be 4 o'clock Monday against Humboldt at Humboldt.

Yesterday, Centrals' Boys' Tennis team defeated The Johnson Governors 7-0. This leaves Central in 2nd place with 9 wins and 3 losses.
