Central's debate team returned from the national competition in Las Vegas after going 3-4 at the tournament and Laura Johnson winning the 23rd speaker award

Blood drive sign-up is today in the lobby, students interested in donating must be 16yrs of age weighing 110lbs or more. Thursday is the last day to sign-up.

Students interested in the Cultural, Academic, and Athletic Program
can pick up a registration form outside of the guidance office this program lasts from June 22ND -July 10Th and will provide students with College readiness and athletic activities.

Last Friday was the multicultural festival, where over 40 groups provided food from various countries. Here to explore more of the food aspect of the event are reporters Jake Altoff and Maddy Longhurst (VID)

The 5th annual Central High School Art Exhibit Named "Intuit" opens to the general public May 30th through June 12th at the Concordia University Art Department Gallery the exhibit will focus on who Central High Schools visual artist are and what they have to say.

Centrals Cycling Club will host a Scavenger Hunt on Friday May 8th. Students interested should sign up with Mr. Cherin in room 461. The cost is $3 per team to register, and all teams are to meet at the bike racks by 3pm. Bring your helmet and a camera.

Last night Central's Boys and Girls Track Team participated in the 6AAA True Team track meet hosted by Mounds View. The teams met with some tough competition against seven non-conference teams from Roseville, Spring Lake Park/ St. Anthony, Irondale, Cretin-Derham Hall, Minneapolis South and Southwest and the host team Mounds View who won the meet. Central fought hard and ran their fastest. Both teams came in fifth place overall, the boys scoring 570, the girls 474. The track team hosts a city conference relay meet tomorrow at 3:15 here at Central.

Today at 3:45 the Central Minutemen first place baseball team takes on the Arlington Phoenix at Dunning Stadium. The boys are 7-2 in conference and are hoping to add another win to the record books.

The 4th place Central Girls Minutemen Softball team take on the first in conference Como Park Cougars today at Como Park at 4pm.

Today is the beginning of the city badminton varsity tournament. The Central girls finished their season in a tie for 3rd place with Como Park high school and look to move on to the section playoffs. Competition starts at 3:15 at Harding high school.
