________
Last night in the auditorium, the 2008 senior recital began at 7 PM. After a brief introduction by MCs Hannah Peterson, Kyle Geppert, and Zack Levinger, a horn quintet consisting of Michael Crellin, Orin Larson, Ellen Rice, Will Mattessish, and Kelin Dunfee opened the show with a piece called "Die Bannkelsanger Lieder." Next, Kayla Perry sang a soulful rendition of "When You Say Nothing At All." Margaret Whitmore and Maria DeLaundreau played three lovely flute duets, followed by Sarah Clinton-McCausland, Alex Chudzik, and Maisie Richardson sporting multi-colored tights as they sang "The Rainbow Connection." Next up were Laura Biery and Remy Taghavi with a piano accompanist in a "Trio for Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano." Sarah Waddle sang the sentimental solo "Misty" followed by Christopher Geno and Andre Borka with their own rousing composition: "The Pirate's Life For A Pirate's Wife (The Pirate song)." After a breif intermission, Hannah Peterson led the Central Chamber Orchestra in performing "The Marrige of Figaro." Nex up was "What'll I Do," a swinging vocal piece performed by Sarah Waddle, Michalene Baines, Angel Moua, Kristi Moua, and Anna Johnson. Ellen Rice performed another piece on trumpet: this time a solo called "Aria Con Variazioni." Grant Hammond lent his deep, bass voice to "Ave Maria." After which Cece Klueh and Molly MacDonald played the baritone duet "March Time." Michaelene Baines spiced up the night with "La Habenara," and Renee Coe, Laura Biery, and Ben Tuthill played an oboe trio. The night was brought to a close by Rosie Graber singing "Mondnacht" and finally, Myra Hinrichs and Evan Vicic with a violin duet.
