(choir VCR)The spring choir concert starts at 7 pm this Thursday. It features performances from mens' choir, womens' choir, concert choir, as well as the "Central Singers" and "Minnesingers." All choirs are directed by Martha Graber and will sing pieces that celebrate spring. Here is some highlights from yesterdays rehearsals. (pause)

Tutoring by Central staff continues throughout the month of May. Stop by the library after school to sign in.

Student Council annual picnic is coming up quickly. Here is m-team member Laura Johnson to tell us more.

Time for minutemen sports:

(pics) Yesterday the badminton team partcipated in the first rounds of the state tournament. In the first round Central blanked Patrick Henry 7-0. The girls faced the Highland Park scots in the quarter-finals and won a close match 4-3. The Minutemaids earned 2 key victories from seniors Kari Finseth and Ka Vang. The grils travel to Burnsville today for the semi-finals against the number one ranked Harding Knights.

Central Softball crushed Minneapolis Edison with a 13-2 win yesterday. Sam Couper went 3 for 4 with a walk off triple in the 5th inning driving in 2 of her 3 RBI's. Ninth grader, Natalie Mironov struck out 12 batters raising improving her to 7 wins and 2 losses. Central is 10 and 6 heading into the final regular season game tomorrow. We will be recognizing our 4 seniors at the game and hope to get a recording breaking crowd to watch. Come on out to the ball game.

The girls soccer team is looking forward to next year's season. If you are interested in playing you need to attend an informational meeting tomorrow. With more information here are Bittney and Kristen.

Thanks girls. The girls soccer team finished 2nd in conference last year with an impressive 10 and 2 record.

The boys baseball team had no trouble with the Arlington Pheonix yesterday at Arlington. They scored 9 runs in the 3rd inning and 15 runs in the 4th in route to a 33 to 3 win. Senior Anton Schneider earned the win. The boys travel to Johnson for a game today at 3:45.
