Todays CMEP Black History Month Advisory trivia question is: "Which city is known to be the birthplace of the blues?" Provide your answers to Coach Howell in room 556. The advisory with the most correct answers will win prizes compliments of CMEP.

Last Fridays African American Quote was by Micheal Jordan. The drawing winners are Isreal Thomas in Ms.Kings Advisory, Chandra Distad in room 214,and Jessica Porter in room 262. (IS) Todays Famous African American Quote is "Have a vision.Be demanding." If you know who said that quote please put your answer in the box in the office,along with your name and advisory number.

Auditions for the spring play, "A Night Out" by Harold Pinter, will be today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Students interested in auditioning should sign up outside the office.

Model UN meets today in Mr. Shipman's room 407 for interested students. Students who cannot attend the meeting please contact Mr. Shipman for information and registration forms.

Habitat for Humanity meets after school tomorrow at 2:15 in the wood shop room. The yearbook picture will be taken. All are welcome to attend.

(PIC) On Friday, the Anime club sponsored a video game tournament in the Black Box. The event was a huge success, with about 120 gamers in attendence. Students played Halo 3, Need For Speed, Dance Dance Revolution, Soul Calibur 3, and Super Smash Brothers Melee. The Central Morning News has not yet been able to identify the winners.

(IS) The American Mathematics Competition contest will be held tomorrow starting 6th hour in the library. Students signed up for the contest should be in the library at the beginning of 6th hour. Students signed up should bring number 2 pencils, rulers, compases, and protractors to use on the test. Calculators are not permitted on the test.

(IS) Pre-season meetings for many spring sports are happening this week. Badminton and softball meetings are tomorrow. Badminton meets in room 275, softball meets in room 262. On Wednesday, girls and boys golf meets. All meetings are after school. No experience necessary to sign-up.

On Saturday in the Humboldt pool the Central Boys swimming and diving team dominated the Conference Meet. The Minutemen placed first in every event. Central scored 391 points and the nearest team was Highland Park with 300. Senior Captain Stephen Looney broke the Centrals team record in the 100 Yard Backstroke. This was a 13 year old record. The boys will Participate in the Twin Cities meet on Tuesday against Minneapolis Southwest.

The Boys Basketball team had a lot of action this weekend. On Friday the Minutemen Crushed the Humboldt Hawks 81 to 49. On Saturday they played the number 6 ranked Wayzata Trojans. The Minutemen lost a heartbreaker. Wayzata hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to defeat the Minutemen 72 to 71.

The Girls Basketball team had a busy weekend also. On Friday they destroyed the Humboldt Hawks 84 to 43. On Saturday they played Eden Prairie and crushed them 78 to 52. The Girls next game is tomorrow at Harding, at 7:30.
