The Central Math Team vaulted into a state wide tie for first place with Eden Prairie on Monday, November 26 at the second meet of the season at Central High school. Martin Camacho led the team with a perfect score of 14. Other top scorers were Jonathan Schellenberg, John Pavlovich, Nathan Taylor and Ellen Rice. The Math Team continues its quest towards the state high school math team championship. The Minutemen next competition in the third meet of the season on Monday, December 17 at Arlington High School.

How often during the school day do students get to fake flesh wounds and learn how to fight? Well over over one hundred students did so on Tuesday at the Park Square Theater. They also saw the the play "Of Mice and Men." Here is Dorothy Her with the story.

The Senior Class goes roller skating on Thursday, December 6th.Field trip slips should be turned in to Mr. Schlukebier in room 420 this Tuesday, December 4th at 1:05pm.

Today the Girls Basketball team takes on Holy Angels Academey. The game will tip off at 7pm and will be at Holy Angels Academey located off 62nd and Nicolette Avenue in Minneapolis.

Tomorrow Boys Wrestling Team is going to attend to a tournament at Eastview High School starting at 9am.

Tomorrow at 11am Girls Gymnastic Team attends the conference preview at Highland Park High School.

Central's Fresh Force Feed the Need banquet will be tonight from 5 to 7 in the cafeteria, the cost will be 3 dollars. Notice the time change from 5 to 7. There will be a spaghetti dinner, with dancing and singing acts.

Next Friday, there is a CMEP sponsored Madden 08 tournament at 2:15 in the blackbox. The regestration cost is five dollars with a cash prize for the winner. Regestration ends next Thursday, see Coach Howell for information.

Asian Culture Club is sponsoring a "Book Drive For Thailand Students." Students may contribute new or used books for k-8th grade Thai students by bringing books to room 402. Donations will be highly appreciated.

Tonight, Central's Fall musical Pirates of Penzance will open for it's first public performance. Central Morning News reporter Wyatt Danz visited a Pirate's rehersal and got some info on what to expect.

Once again, the play opens tonight in the Central auditorium at 7pm. There will also be shows tomorrow at 2 and 7 pm and a closing show on Sunday also at 2. The tickets will cost 7 dollars for adults but only 5 dollars for students. Come out and support Central theater.
