Today is early release day for Staff Development. After the Central Morning News, students will go straight to their third hour. School will be dismissed at 12:00 after 6th hour.

The library will close on Friday, and will remain closed for the next 4 months due to construction. After this week, the librarian will be visiting classrooms to check-in books that need to be returned. Seniors who have books checked out will not receive their caps and gown until the books are returned or paid for.

(PICS) Tomorrow Centrals annual blood drive hosted by student council will be held in the gym starting at 8am until 2. This years goal is to receive 100 pints of BLOOD!!!!

On May 17th EMID (East Metro Integregation District) is hosting a college access fair from 10 am to 1 pm at Harambee Elementary School. This event is for students in grades 5 through 11 and will go over issues such as finacial aid, preparing for college, and information about colleges and universities in Minnesota. Further information is in the office.

Tomorrow a representive from St. Cloud State will be in the principals conference room at 10:30 and on Friday The Class of 63 scholarship interviews are being held.

(PICS) This weekend, Central's drama board presents Harold Pinter's play "A Night Out." The play is the dramatic story of Albert Stokes, a lonely man who lives with his mother. It shows the way his life is changed by a single "night out." Performances are Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 2 PM, and Sunday at 2 PM. Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults.

Yesterday The boys Central Golf team participated in the Highland Park Tournament. Results are still pending.

Yesterday Central track and field team took on the Mounds Veiw Mustang at Mounds Veiw. Results are still pending.Track team has practice at 2:30

The Central Girls Softball team DESTROYED the Harding Knights 16 to 2. The Girls are currently third in the Conference with a 5 and 2 record. The girls next game is today agaisnt the Arlington Pheonix at the Dunning softball fields at 4:00.

Yesterday at Dunning the Boys Baseball team was upset by the Highland Park Scots. However due to Harding upseting the Como Park Cougars the Minutemen are still leading the Conference with a record of 5 and 1. The boys next game is against the Arlington Pheonix at 3:45 at Arkwright field.
